Hello!

My name is Darya Kamalova. I am 28 years old. I was born and raised in Russia, in Samara (which, by the way, even was the capital of Russia during the WW II). I have the Bachelor Degree in Design and Master’s Degree in Interior Design (I received my second degree in Milan, where I have been living for the last two years). I love blue sea, animals, scuba diving with the stingrays, watching sunsets from my balcony and books that keep me up at night, yearning to read them through till the last page. Finally, apart from everything else in my life, there exists fashion – clearly, independently and firmly. It has always been inside of me, has always been around, keeping up to me. It was on one beautiful morning in my life (well, quite suddenly for a completely normal and unremarkable morning) when I woke up and realized that fashion was something more than just “going shopping” or “reading magazines.” Fashion is art; it is a philosophy and passion. The clothes you wear can tell about you much more than you can imagine yourself!
The idea to create a blog first occurred to me quite a long time ago, but I did not have one important element that was crucial for a successful start – the title of the newborn blog. I needed a title that I could associate with myself, and it must have been readable both in Russian and English. So in the end there was “cab.LOOK”: it stands for ‘heel’ in Russian, and in English it can be interpreted as a “view from the window of a taxi,” or even “cabinet of images.” It is ambiguous, it is interesting, and it is so to say ‘very me’.
My style is the style of constant changes, the style of my mood. I can quickly fall in love with things, either forever, or just for one day. I equally love maxi-dresses with 6.7 inches high heels and biker boots with skinny jeans and boyfriend’s sweater.
A lot of people ask me, “What shall I do if I am not tall enough?, ‘What should I wear if I’m not skinny?’ or ‘What to do with my imperfect nose?’ My advice is to love yourself and less bother about such nonsense. Once you love yourself, the world will transform, people will smile on you, traffic lights will be always green and fashion will keep up with you as well!

[tab title=”ITALIANO”]Ciao!
Mi chiamo Darya Kamalova. Ho 28 anni. È sempre stata in me, sempre intorno a me.
È ambiguo, interessante, ed è ‘molto me’.
